This year, my Aunt and Uncle both turned 60 and they rented this gorgeous house in northern England called Northumberland. It borders Scotland and has more castles than any other county!

My oldest brother and his family came over from Maine, which meant we had a long weekend with my nieces which was wonderful. My brother, Edward, who also lives in London came up as well. We were joined by Chris and Beanie and their two children. It was almost like a small family reunion and it was great catching up with everyone.

We spent the weekend relaxing in the beautiful countryside, although I, unfortunately, had quite a bit of work due to a last-minute deliverable and school finals. Regardless, we spent lots of time exploring the nearby towns, the endless hills, some of the many castles and of course the beach.

We ate lots and lots of stottie :), played games, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was a great weekend spent with family and loved exploring a new part of England.
